Brogan Perrelli has always had a passion for finance.

Perrelli, now vice president of finance and operations at Westlake Village Biopartners, says she’s always been fascinated by problem solving and collaborating with others in order to generate innovative solutions.

Today, Perrelli, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who spent most of her career working in public accounting, has truly found her home in finance. “Many people don’t realize it, but finance takes a lot creative thinking,” she says. “Often times there are projects that require thinking outside the box to derive the best solution.”

Perrelli comes with years of experience – having worked at public accounting firms KPMG and Crowe Horwath LLP – and a private equity background, where she worked on the finance team for a $50 billion+ Assets Under Management (AUM) firm.

Joining Westlake Village Biopartners in 2021 as Director of Finance, she serves in a hybrid role managing Westlake’s finance and accounting work, including capital planning, due diligence, and compliance matters as well as the fund’s audits, tax work and quarterly financial statements. Joining Westlake Village Biopartners’ small and impactful team has given her the opportunity to play a role in many aspects of the company.

Perrelli values Westlake’s hands-on involvement in the work of its portfolio companies, which helps drive them toward their goals. She finds it incredibly meaningful to work directly with early-stage companies who are developing treatments that can improve the quality and duration of life for so many people. That, she says, is what ultimately brought her to Westlake Village Biopartners.

Perrelli has a BBA in Accounting and Finance from Sonoma State University and is a licensed CPA. She lives in the Bay Area, where she was born and raised, with her family.
